After a couple of years of neglect, I decided to sit down and finally rebuild my pedal board. Most rehearsals I had just been bringing my tuner pedal, and not much else. Only the Octave and Chorus pedal have been used in any show setting recently, but I have many more sound gizmos that I should be using instead of them just sitting in a milk crate. Let’s see if I can wire up something this time.
So this is the first time that I am integrating some sort of control unit. This isn’t a fancy all-in-one type pedal board, but instead one that allows me to continue using all of my stomp boxes and yet make the layered sounds that you hear in these all in one style pedal boards. I figured I would start with a BOSS one, since it is the same maker as many of my other pedals. Not necessarily the best of reasons, but one none the less.
The whole project has been a blast, and been the beginning of a ton of new inspiration, and ideas to pursue. Unfortunately, there are even more audio notes on my phone now, and quite a few recordings 15 second recordings on my computer. I lack the one item to fully realize many of these ideas, but will keep plugging along and work through as many as I can. I can also attest to the pile of zip ties on my floor from, setting and re-sestting the positions of pedals on the board. So far everything seems to still fit in the case.
On to a few of the pedals.
