Sometimes you want to feel a pulse of the track, but maybe the drums and bass are just not enough.
If you have a strumming Rhythm guitar you can use your automation to make it pump to emphasize the beat.
The pumping Rhythm guitar trick first of all select the Rhythm guitar track that you want to make feel better because that’s what the pumping Rhythm guitar trick does it just makes it feel better and helps the track move along a little better. Next thing is place the automation into touch mode which is really important. it’s okay if you don’t do the same amount every time actually random is good because it sounds more like the player playing so we’re actually just emphasizing what the player was normally doing anyway
One thing is to change the level slightly in time with the tracks pulse so whatever the pulse of the track is you’re going to try to push the level only slightly and again it might be as little as a DB or even less. Make sure that what you’re doing is not to apparent as you don’t want to draw attention to the pumping Rhythm guitar. What you really want to do is just make it feel better and help push the track along.
