The blog at Native Instruments has been putting out quite a bit of content as part of a Producers Series focused on learning music production. I am going to use this post as a way to collect all of these together for others, and then you can pick through what you would like to read. The blog articles cover a wide range of topics, from EQ and effects to basic music theory. Basically, there is something for everyone to learn, whether beginner or advanced.
Generally I have been reading every post that they put up, and I have to say the results are quite positive. Nothing I think that I will release, but definitely excursions into areas of music that I don’t normally listen to. I will also admit, that I am not genre focused at all when I am writing. Music is music to me, I don’t need a label for it. Here are some snippets from the Native Instruments Producers Series.

- EQ 101 for music producers
- Major Chord Progressions
- Drum programming 101: How to program your drums
- Basics of mastering a beat
- What is a VST Plugin
Here are some posts on how to focus on certain styles of music. These are the ones that i pulled from just the blog from the first 10 pages. I must be old, as I don’t know most of them. I figured this could make an excellent creative challenge to see how close I could get to styles of music I do not spend much time listening too. Why not.
